JORDY SANK

Jordy Sank is a two-time South African Film and TV Award-winning Director, Screenwriter and Producer known for his feature documentary “I Am Here” (2021), which also won the Best South African Documentary Award at the Durban International Film Festival (2021).

He was honoured with the Emerging Filmmaker Award at the South African Film and TV Awards (2022), given to one South African filmmaker making waves in the industry.

He is a Durban Talents alumnus (2022) and winner of a Silver Screen Award at the Young Director Awards (2022) in Cannes. In 2022, his short film “Leemtes en Leegheid (A Void)” won Best Short Film at Silwerskermfees, which paved the way for his directorial narrative feature debut, “Die Kwiksilwers (The Quicksilvers)”, which premiered at Silwerskermfees (2024).

The film won the Audience Choice Award and is set for theatrical distribution in South Africa later this year. “Amazeze” (Fleas, 2025) is Jordy’s latest short which premiered at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and will continue its festival run this year.

Jordy is driven and passionate about pushing the envelope of South African storytelling and sharing the country’s meaningful and impactful stories with the world.

GODISAMANG KHUNOU
Godisamang Khunou is an award-winning filmmaker and producer. She Produced the Documentary feature film “Black Women and Sex” (2024), first screened at IDFA Docs for Sale (2024). It has gone on to win the Best Documentary Feature at the American Black Film Festival (2025), Best Picture at Ant’Sary Documentary Madagascar in (2025) and was nominated for the Best Representation of the LGBTQI at the Inclusive Lens Awards (2025). The film has screened in numerous local and international film festivals, including the Pan African Film Festival (2026).

Her Second Documentary feature, “Daughters of the Tallest Tree (2026)”, was made with the Gender Unit for Feminism and Gender Democracy, between South Africa, Cyprus, Thailand, Iraq and the Amazon, telling stories of female protests in the global south.

She started her career at the Multichoice Group, where she worked in the Video on Demand department (DSTV Now and Showmax) for seven years, which gave her unique insight into the type of films and stories that excite African audiences. She is an alumna of Locarno Open Doors (2025), FIFOI (2025), Berlinale’s Visitor’s Co-Production Programme (2025), Creative Producer’s Indaba (2023), Rough Cut Lab Africa (2022), Digital Lab Africa (2022), Durban Film Mart (2019 and 2022), DOK Leipzig International Co-Producers Program (2019 and 2022), and Talents Durban (2015).
 
She was recognised as a finalist for the Sanlam Women of the Future (2025), a Mail and Guardian 200 Young South Africans (2024) and an African leader by the Mandela Washington Fellowship (2024). She completed a Leadership in Business at Rutgers University (2024) and a Bachelor of Arts at AFDA Film School (2013).
